Knight Sound & Lighting (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) was recently selected to provide and install theatrical lighting fixtures and lighting control for a new therapy room at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland,

Ohio.  This innovative therapy room will be used to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) patients using sound and lighting therapies. The theatrical lighting fixtures utilized for this installation were the Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) Selador Desire D22, ETC Irideon FPZ, and Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot LED 255. These fixtures were connected using ETC Data Track on the ceiling in a small sized room which was configured in a U-shape. The fixture positioning gives maximum distance, throw and accessibility for use with colors, gobos and moving changes. All fixtures are controlled via ETC Nomad software for ETC ION installed on the hospital’s existing Apple iMac computer and connected to an

Chauvet Intimidator

ETC ColorSource Relay wireless DMX transmitter (ETC CST-W) and ETC ColorSource Relay wireless receivers (ETC CSR-W). Sound triggering and wireless control were provided using ETCs IO Gateway and an ETC Show Control Gateway. The Show Control Gateway configures audio midi output from the iMac to trigger DMX inside the ETC Nomad software. This allows integration of sound and light to be used in the therapy program.
